Itinerary

Day 1: Tropical Escape - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

Embark PM

Depart 6:00 PM

Originally a fort built by the U.S. Army in 1838, during the Second Seminole War, Ft. Lauderdale has little left of its warlike past. Instead the city welcomes visitors with broad beaches and an easy pace of life, plus convenient air and water connections that make the city a perfect place to begin or end a cruise.

(Couple on observation deck)

Day 2: Cruising the Gulf of Mexico

Day at sea.

Day 3: Costa Maya, Mexico

Arrive: 8:00 AM, Depart 6:00 PM

Adventure, archaeology, water, sun and beach. These are all to be found in and around Costa Maya, the Caribbean's first port planned solely for cruise guests. Designed to resemble an ancient Mayan city, Costa Maya features three grand pavilions, where you can see folkloric shows, observe local artisans creating their works of art, and witness cultural and culinary events. Within easy reach of the port are ancient cities boasting impressive temples and fascinating archeological sites. And you needn't venture far from port to enjoy a range of water sports, including diving and snorkeling amid the world's second-largest coral reef.

Day 4: Belize City, Belize

Arrive: 7:00 AM, Depart 6:00 PM

A Lonely Planet “Best in Travel 2019,” Belize is home to the dazzling offshore Belize Barrier Reef – the world’s second largest after Australia’s – this is a haven for snorkelers and divers eager to explore an underwater world of rich marine life. Inland, verdant jungles are home to Mayan ruins including Caracol, renowned for its towering pyramid.

(Blue Hole, Belize)

Day 5: Cozumel, Mexico

Arrive: 8:00 AM, 8:00 PM

Soak up the sun on Mexico’s largest island. Cozumel has pristine palm-lined beaches and plenty of opportunities for you to get lost in Mayan mysteries, explore Caribbean coral formations, or simply relax on a white sand beach.

Day 6: Cruising the Caribbean Sea

Day at sea.

Day 7: Key West, Florida, USA

Arrive: 8:00 AM, Depart: 4:00 PM

In the past, Key West was the winter home of Ernest Hemingway, John James Audubon and President Truman. Today it is a retreat for writers and artists. Its atmosphere is reminiscent of the Caribbean, yet it is the southernmost town of the continental United States. Take a stroll along Duval Street, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, or explore its interesting art galleries and boutiques.

(Seahorse Pool)
