On arrival in Johannesburg we will transfer to The Michelangelo Hotel, our home for the first 3 nights of our tour, The remainder of our arrival day is at leisure.

Saturday October 9th, 2010
Half Day Soweto Tour
We start the day off with a tour of Soweto, where you can find the houses of two Nobel Peace Prize winners; Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Lunch is taken at Wandies Restaurant, the best-known shebeen in the township.
Time to freshen up before we depart this evening for a Welcome Dinner at Lekgotla, Afrika’s Dining Room at Nelson Mandela Square.

Half Day Pretoria Tour
We spend the morning in Pretoria - We return to the hotel for an afternoon and evening at leisure.

After breakfast, we board our luxury coach for Kapama Private Game Reserve, situated in the untamed African bush, our home for the next 2 nights is The Kapama River Lodge

Kapama Private Game Reserve
Gather for tea or coffee before heading out at first light for a morning safari! Upon your return, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and spend the day at leisure. In the afternoon, you can enjoy another sunset safari before returning to the Lodge to enjoy dinner under the African sun.

Kapama/Hazyview via the Panorama Route
After breakfast, we depart for Hazyview via the spectacular Panorama Route.
We arrive at Pilgrims’ Rest, in time to enjoy lunch at leisure at one of the many restaurants. We then continue to Hazyview and check into Hippo Hollow Country Estate.

Hazyview - Capetown
After breakfast we depart for our flight to Capetown where you will be transferred to The Victoria & Alfred Hotel, our home for the next 5 nights. The late afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax and wander around the Waterfront District.

City & Table Mountain Tour
Highlights of our day include Table Mountain, The Company Gardens, South African Museum, Castle of Good Hope also the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square, and picturesque Bo-Kaap.

Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Today will be a day to remember! We will board a launch to view the Duiker Island seals and cormorants then we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve the meeting place of two mighty oceans. After a stop for lunch at Bertha’s Restaurant in Simons Town, we continue to see the Jackass penguin colony. We top the day off with an early afternoon visit to the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Sunday October 17th, 2010
Full Day Winelands Tour
Highlights include the “Afrikaans Taal Monument”, then to a nearby Wine Estates for a wine tasting session. In the afternoon we proceed to Cabrière Estate, then to Stellenbosch, followed by a visit to the Spier Wine Estate. At Spier we will visit their Cheetah Park, with an opportunity to step inside the enclosure and actually interact with the cheetahs. Then to top off a wonderful day! We continue to Moyo for an unforgettable outdoor dining experience that captures the essence of the unique Cape African culture and cuisine.

Monday October 18th, 2010
Tour of Robben Island
Today we tour to Robben Island, we will view Nelson Mandela’s maximum-security prison cell (Cell 5). We return to the V & A Waterfront where the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening we enjoy a Farewell dinner at Emily’s.
